EFC: Possibly the best Folk Club in the world...
Edinburgh Folk Club is an organisation which exists to foster an interest in
the wide international world of folk and related musics. The club meets weekly
(Wednesday evening) for most of the year in the Pleasance Cabaret Bar, Edinburgh,
Scotland. It is not compulsory to be a member to be able to attend the club's
weekly shows - just turn up and pay the admission charge at the door. The club
began in autumn 1973 and has been in continuous existence since then.
Over the years, Edinburgh Folk Club has played host to many of the big names, and rising stars of the Scottish (and wider) folk scene. Indeed, you'd be hard pushed to name many renowned folkies who haven't appeared at the club.

You can find us at the Pleasance Courtyard in Edinburgh (see the map below), every Wednesday night at 8pm. Free parking is available within earshot of the concerts, there's a bar, and you can even get a bite to eat next door before the show (it's just chips and burgers, that sort of thing - student prices though, and decent portions).
